Neither--we accidentally did it ourselves by sliding something heavy across the floor. It's right in front of the door so it's very noticeable when you first enter the trailer.
I was thinking of some kind of camouflage such as shoe polish or furniture repair sticks.

Try contacting Heartland and see if you can get a piece of the floor covering, like a cut-off or something, that matches yours. From that, you can make a patch to replace the damaged area.
