I have searched everywhere on how/where to drain the fresh water tank with no luck. I did locatr the low point drains and they obviously don't drain the water tank.
I have a 2014 Elkridge 34TSRE.

thanks,

John

Hi johninar,

The fresh tank is usually located over the axles and the drain is usually on the off-door-side just in front of the axles.

Normally the fresh water drain is located on the off door side somewhere above the axles.
There is an outside chance that the drain line never made it through the Coroplast.
You might need to remove a couple of the screws that hold the Coroplast in place and take a look inside for the drain line.

Peace

I thought Heartland quit using low point drains.

The low point for hot and cold lines were removed. The fresh tank drain remains. Johninar If you cannot find it you can run the fresh tank close to empty by running electric pump and running it dry or at least very low.

It should be just in front of the axles on the off door side. Look for a hole in the coroplast...mine was there...just not pulled through the hole.

I found the drain. Now the question is how do you drain the tank? I open the valve and just a little dribble.
The tank is 2/3 full. use the pump? I just figured the drain would "drain".

(FYI, This model also has hot and cold low point drains.)

TIA,

John

On my previous Sundance they put the fresh water tank behind the axles and the drain hose in front of the axles near the docking center. The hose apparently had high spots in between so it had to be "nose down" to start draining. I wonder if you extended the drain hose and started it siphoning if it would drain out for you?

I spoke with heartland and they thought the drain line was kinked. It appears to be so we just used the pump and drained the tank. Finished the winterizing. Not so bad, but getting back to the pump valve is a bit of a challenge for me. Nonetheless with the wife's help, all is well. Now, when is Spring???

thanks for the replies,

John
