I’m reporting a warranty concern for my new 2022 Heartland Sundance 326BH with the Furrion dv3300s-bl dvd radio that i was able to troubleshoot and fix.
Concern: No radio stations could be tuned to. Nothing but static.
Fault found: antenna coaxial cable was connected to the IR external connector of the radio and not to the antenna in, resulting in zero reception.
Solution: connected coaxial antenna cable to the radio antenna in. Reception restored.
Secondary fault found: the straight coaxial antenna connector, when connected to the antenna in, did not allow the radio to install flush to the wall. It displaced the radio about a 1/2” out.
Secondary solution: purchased adapter connector with 90 deg bend. Installed inline with coaxial cable and allowed radio to sit flush.
Root cause: installation error at the factory as well as poor radio location and wiring design.
