Gate valve replacement

Hello everyone, I'm new hear and this is my first post. I am having trouble replacing my dump valves. I have a 2023 Heartland Trail Runner 199 bhss. Both my black and grey tank valves were allowing water past that would collect at my sewer hose connection. I watched a few videos and the replacement seemed very straight forward. I was able to remove the old valves and seals with little issue. The problem I am having is that the piping is installed so tightly I can not get enough clearance to install both drain valves. They are Valterra 3in valves. I was able to get my black tank valve installed but now I don't even have room to slip my seals over the pipe on the grey tank side. Honestly any advice is really appreciated, I cant seem to pry the drains apart enough to finish this job. Thank you

Thank you so much Dave, I'm kind of embarrassed how simple that solution seems. I'll do that thank you again You're a lifesaver

Not trying to break your bubble but it will be no time and your replacement calves will work the same after some use. If the alves came out then the new ones should go back in . Make take a little effort.

I had the same problem and finally cut 1/2 "of one side of the drain pipe and installed a rubber connecter. Easy to install. Tried to include a picture was unsuccessful.
