Hi All,

Anyone out there have a Gateway 3300ML yet? Ours just rolled off the line and it can't get here soon enough.

Is there anything we need to watch out for in the initial inspection? We are planning to full-time in it for a while. Any suggestions, fears, concerns?

Hi ccady3430,

Congratulations on your new Gateway and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. This is a great place to get answers and to pick the brains of those who have gone before you.

There's a lot to learn from the dealer when you take delivery. Take your time and make sure you understand all the switches and how everything works. Having a 2nd person shoot video will help you later after you've forgotten everything. :)

Have the dealer show you the winterization valves for the hot water heater bypass and how to add antifreeze. Don't let him wave his hand and point someplace. Make sure you see the valves and controls and suction hose.

You'll also want to know exactly how to secure the kitchen island, if yours is moveable.

If the dealer has space onsite, you should stay at least one extra day to see if any questions arise or if anything needs to be corrected. It's always faster and easier to get things done at a dealer before you leave. If not onsite, stay somewhere nearby and arrange in advance for "while you wait" service the next day if you need something done.

Enjoy your new home!
