I installed 5300 Westinghouse in the front bay of my pioneer 5th. The generator is propane powered and has a remote start.
I then attached a thermostat sensor switch to the block of the generator. I set the switch to 70 degrees C. When it reaches temperature an 18” fan is started. I installed the fan with a toggle switch that changes the direction of air flow. I then installed an automatic power transfer switch.
using the fan to pull air over the generator seems to be the best.
