I am one of those people who drove 1200 miles to save 5 figures on the price of my Big Horn. After reading the reports on the forum about dealers not working on units if you didn't purchase from them I thought I might be in trouble.
A couple of weeks ago I called Lone Star RV who is a new Heartland dealer in the Houston area. I asked if they would do warranty work if I did not buy the unit from them. Ericka in the service department set up an appointment which was several weeks out but she gave me the first one she had. I took my BigHorn in and dropped it off with a list of things that needed attention. I picked it up today and it only took them about two weeks and they took great care of me. I will take my business to them in the future.
In case you are in the Houston area and need help you might want to give Lone Star a call.
