Half-time oven

Our North Trail travel trailer is just one month out of warranty, so now the half-time oven has died -- just quit -- no warning. The stovetop works, except the push pads don't work, or even light up. The manufacturer has gone out of business and I don't trust the co. that bought them out. Where can I find another half-time oven with microwave??? Please, I need help!!

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

You don't say what brand you have. Have you contacted the company that bought out the manufacture of the one you have? You never know, they may be willing to help you out some. Have you done business with them in the past and not had good results the reason for not trusting them?

Carolyn, I've moved your thread into an area specifically designed for help with the half time ovens. I'm assuming yours is an Apollo. You should get a response from the folks that know best about those ovens.

I have the Apollo halftime oven, I am not familiar with a microwave/convection that has a "stovetop".
Primary question number 1 would be are you SURE that electricity is going to the outlet for the oven? Have you checked the circuit breakers? Has a measurement been made with a voltmeter at the outlet?
I am retired from a career of repairing electrical/electronic devices. I have taken my oven apart and fixed a couple of problems. My Apollo oven has a main fuse inside the cabinet that will mimic your symptoms if it is blown. There are dangerous voltages and high Radio Frequency energy present within the oven. Don't try any energized tests with the covers off if you are not completely comfortable with this.
Most areas have an independent microwave oven repair company that can repair the Apollos. You should think about removing your unit from your trailer and taking it to them.

Thank you for your informative reply! We have checked everything but the voltage. We're in Rapid City, SD and not sure where to find a microwave oven repair co. We'll try try to find one, though. Thanks again for your help!
