In the Road Warrior we used Velcro strips, been up since 2019. These have not come off the wall yet.

I've used command strips successfully. While they don't seem to come off, be careful how much weight you hang on them. I had one with a medium weight jacket hung on a command hook. It pulled the wall covering away from the wall over time resulting in an outward bubble stretching the wall covering. Fortunately, I was able to get it to flatten back out with a hair dryer.
I think most pictures would probably be okay. A towel rack....not so sure.

We use command strips everywhere! Make sure to clean the surface really well before adhering the strips for best results.
For picture frames, I found that Walmart sells cheap plexiglass versions that weigh almost nothing. They may not be as fancy as a normal frame, but it doesn’t add weight to the RV and I don’t have to worry about cleaning up glass if it did end up falling.
