heat strip for ac unit??

I looked into installing a heat strip on my Sundance but decided not to for two reasons.
1. The duct work is 100% styrofoam and could pose a fire danger with an electric heat strip. The furnace ducting is made to holdup to this about of heat.
2. I boondock during the winter and need the furnace heater ducts to maintain the temps of the underbelly tanks/piping from freezing.
I installed a Gas/Electric switch to use the furnace fan on a fan only mode along with a plugin heater, without using propane.
