Holding tanks 1 and 2

Hi all,

We are the proud new owners of a 2015 Big Horn. We traded in our Elkridge and continue to be very happy Heartland owners.

We want to know which drains empty into which tanks. I'm sure that the kitchen sink goes to tank 1 and the washing machine drain goes to tank 2 but am uncertain about the bathroom drains. I believe that the Elkridge drained the washer and bathroom sink in tank 2 but the shower went in to tank 1. Is that the same for the Big Horn?

On our 2011 Big Horn, tank 1 is bathroom and tank 2 is kitchen. Didn't install washer so not sure about which it would go to.

Most likely the washing machine and bathroom shower and sink drain to tank 1, and the kitchen to tank 2. Our owner-written Water Systems Guide has a drawing that's probably close to what you have. See page 6.

If you want to be certain, open drain 2 and pour coffee down the kitchen drain.

On our 2014 BH the bathroom drains into tank#1 and kitchen drains into tank#2.

Like all the others said, our 3585rl the bath and washer dryer are gray #1 and the kitchen is gray #2. Which Bighorn do you have?
