Honda eu3000i

Have a new Mallard M32. I am thinking of buying a Honda eu3000i to power the rig while at NASCAR events.

Does anyone have any experience with the eu3000i? How does it power the 13.5 AC unit and how much juice is left for lighjts, water heater, frig etc?

My current dual eu2000 setup will run the AC, but not the microwave at the same time.

I really like the features of the eu 3000 though. Comments?

The dual eu2000 will provide 3500/3800 peak watts. On my BC I can run either ac with them. To run the micro I have to turn the ac off. Same with water heater so it stays on gas. Everything else is fine. If you are wanting to run the ac and microwave together I would get two of the 3000's.

I am thinking of switching from the EU 3000 to a pair of EU2000's for the handling. The 3000 takes lots of space and is difficult to load and unload. I realize that makes it harder to steal but they make some really nice looking lock downs for the 2000's

Going from dual eu2000 (i.e. 4k of power) to a single 3k generator? you'd be able to do less at the same time....

Am I missing the question?

they make a eu3000i handi which is the 3k without electric start- not much bigger than the 2000- easy to throw in trailer or truck by myself- I had 1 then a pair with parallel kit- 1 would run 15 ducted coleman a/c and tv lights etc. not microwave unless compressor was off and just fan- hot days compressor always runs so couldn't do- with the parallel kit no problems- but tanks are small and rather than doing the extended run tanks- I sold 1 and got the7000is fuel injected - runs both my 15and 13.5 a/c - uses like 3-3200 watts and was able to use microwave as well- I have a infield spot at texas nascar track and during june indy race - I hotttttt - it would use less than 10gal/day running constantly for several days- wed-sun. quieter - built tilting cargo rack for back of trailer and rolls right up onto it- I just sold the 7k to the guy who bought my trailer ( expecting a bighorn 3760el in feb) and 2 of us put it into his truck without any issue- I am installing a onan in it for convenience . If anyone needs a parallel kit for the 3000 handi or 1 unit ill be going up for sale

I didn't know about the handi till now. Comparing it to the EU3000IS the weigh difference is 53 lbs. Output is slightly less. Below is a comparison made at some dealer site.

we had the 3000i in race car trailer until it was stolen- the handi ran everything just as well in same trailer-

Yamaha also makes 3000sib boost which i have used on my toyhauler trailer- 26ft cargo with a/c and kitchen etc- runs hard loaded for 9 -11 hrs on tank- and has inverter boost for a/c starting everybit as quit and reliable
