Greetings from Hondo, TX.
It seems like our "Nest" has a secret life as a "money pit". We're constantly having to decide between repairs.....maintenance......or upgrades!
If there's not something that needs to be fixed, then it must be time for some kind of maintenance and if we can't find anything to maintain, we start looking around for upgrades. Hmmmmm............
Anyway, that's RV life as this forum can attest.
Our latest interest fell in the category of maintenance. We had the wheel bearings repacked and the brakes checked and adjusted. After studying the recommendations at this forum, I decided to look at the options besides having an RV dealer do the work.
What we found here in the Escapees SKP park in Hondo, TX was the service of Matthews RV Repair. Murphy Matthews spent a very cold day doing a very yucky job for us. We tried to give him some "moral support" by standing around sharing the cold through at least a part of the day. Through it all, he remained good natured and focused on the job at hand.
His website is http://www.matthewsrvrepair.com.
What impressed us the most about his service was that he took the time to prepare for the job before he started the work and to have all the parts needed on hand so that he could get the job done quickly and efficiently.
We highly recommend his thorough and very professional service.
