Hot water coming out cold water side

Hi Brandon,

First of all, I assume you mean that you've got hot water coming out the cold faucets and the toilet on a continual basis. If it were for 20 or 30 seconds, and then turned cold, and you're in a warm climate, it could be the sun warming the water in the hose.

I also recall an earlier thread where you had a problem with the check valve on the hot water heater outlet. Someone suggested eliminating it instead of replacing.

Can you fill us in on how you resolved that prior problem.

Check your water heater bypass valves. Make sure it or they are not set to 'bypass', the winterizing setting.

There is a check valve on the outlet of hot water heater--could possibly be broke or not functioning correctly---replace,
