How to repair small awning holes

What do you recommend to use for repairing small holes in an awning? They are about the size of a thumbtack hole.

You can buy a roll of clear tape, believe Gorilla tape, at a Home Depot that should work for that purpose.

On a different unit I used a pool liner repair kit

I've seen clear awning repair tape at Walmart.

I was thinking Gorilla Tape but wasn't sure. My BIL just purchased a hail damaged TT. He refers to me for assistance on many things and I didn't want to lead him in the wrong direction on this. The goal is to hopefully get the awning through a couple of seasons before replacing it.
