Thank you for your information. It was installed before we bought it. Not sure if it was factory installed or purchased by the previous owner. It depends on how the camera was wired.
If hooked to the clearance lights, your tow vehicle must be hooked up and the lights turned on.
If hooked directly to the RV batteries, you should be able to see a little blue light on the camera.
If it is hooked directly to the batteries, whoever installed it, may not had installed a fuse in the power lead.
Being used RV, when was the camera installed? Was it installed when purchased new, or did you have it installed?
After you figure out how the power gets to the camera, plug the camera into the tow vehicle and turn on.
Okay, now find out how it is wired for power. If it is wired to the clearance lights or directly to the batteries.Thank you for your information. It was installed before we bought it. Not sure if it was factory installed or purchased by the previous owner.
This is probably our issue. We haven't found a display screen of any type. Thanks.hopefully you have the display screen. Some units come with just the mounting enclosure for a camera on rear of the RV. Look for a camera lens, if none seen the nit's just the mount for a camera.
Make sure there is a camera there. If it came from the factory with "camera prep package", you have to have a camera system installed.I have the same issue. We just bought a Eddie Bauer fifth wheel with a backup camera. There is a camera up there. Someone told me to look for a QR code, so I climbed a ladder but there was nothing there. I don't know what my next steps are.
That's great news. I know somebody had the same issue, we found his monitor in a cabinet in the rig.I did take a picture, and there is a camera with antenna there. We are waiting to hear back from the dealer. They think it might be a Furrian and should have come with a monitor? They sent an email to Heartland to find out more
Heck, they might had forgot to put it in. The dealer may have taken it out to give to another customer or a customer just looking at rigs, may have picked it up needing a new monitor for their rig.I think I've opened every cabinet and drawer, but haven't seen a monitor yet. Lol
