Hello everyone I have a 2014 Sundance 245 5th wheel that we bought used . It has a wireless camera mounted on the back powered by the center running light . I can't find a name brand or model number on the camera . The previous owner did not have the monitor . So I have decided to buy a new kit . And I want two cameras . One for the camper the other for my truck to assist with hitching up the gooseneck .

Amazon as an example has a bunch of different brands . Many can support up to four cameras . Most are 2.4 mhz is that a solid signal platform ? Any particular brands better than others ? Generally speaking is wireless technology today solid and reliable ? Any suggestions are appreciated. Suggestions welcome . Thanks in advance .

I use a VisionWorks Camera system and have had no issues at all. The Visionworks system was originally designed for the farming industry. As far as I know, the only non commercial distributor is TechnoRV. technorv.com

I went with the Haloview RD7 which IMO is one of the better "non-pre-wired" options out there. The installation was simple - replace the two side marker lights with their camera-enabled versions, and add the rearview. The visual quality is very good, and I really like the option to see JUST the rear or a "triple" view where the rear is across the bottom and the left/right are side by side, giving you sort of a 360 view (but not top-down like some cars do now). That's super helpful backing into a tight space to stop you from needing to get-out-and-look to clear that picnic table or tree.

That being said, while I'm overall very happy with the system itself, I did have the display fritz out on me after 2 years. Past warranty so I just bought a replacement and it's been fine, but perhaps worth noting...
