Just found this forum. Recently purchased a 2014 Hartland Key Largo. Before that had a Sunny Brook for ten years, others before that. This is a first with a residential frig. looking to learn how to use this and keep the batteries up. Looks like many here will know. We dry camp sometimes and for as much as two weeks. We are real excited about this (new to us) fifth wheel. Looking forward to learning about this new adventure.

Hi MandA,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

There is a thread going now about residential fridges that might help you with some info.

Be sure and check out our Heartland Owners Club. Join us at a rally when you can and meet lots of the great folks here and make friends for a lifetime.

Enjoy the forum and your Key Largo.

Hi MandA,

You might be interested in our owner-written Residential Refrigerator Guide that covers information not included in the documents that came with the refrigerator.

If you intend to camp without shore power for more than an overnight stop, you'll need a way to recharge your batteries; probably either a generator or solar installation.
