Water dripping out of the bottom of the rig right underneath the wh. Pulled the basement wall and saw no other obvious signs of leakage. Turned on the by pass and drained the tank. Turned on the water, no leaks. In big bend NP, so we'll have to go with the heat water on the stove and shower at the visitor center.

On the inside where the PEX lines connect to the water heater, you may have a plastic check valve on the hot water outlet (top). The plastic can crack and leak - little leaks or big leaks. Our owner-written Water Heater Troubleshooting Guide has pictures and instructions on how to replace it, starting on page 14.
