Ice maker in the basement - Ventilation

We are going to get an Ice Maker to keep in our basement but are wondering about ventilation since we don't want to leave the door open or ajar.

Should I add a vent in the basement door/doors? And if so what kind of vents have you added? And what are the pitfalls of cutting holes in the "fuselage"?

Patrick, I'm not sure if you would need a vent. The basement is not completely sealed off. The ice maker will get air circulation. JMHO Bob

I've used an ice maker in my basement for a couple of years and its worked great without any vents.

No vents when we use it in the basement or now in the W/D area. Just make sure nothing gets pushed up along side the cooling fins.
