Ideas to increase water pressure for shower faucet?

Has anyone found a way to increase the water flow coming out of the shower in your Greystone? We have a 33QS 2012 and the water pressure is fine for the kitchen and bathroom sinks. We are using city water and have our RV placed on our lot in Brownsville TX The water pressure/output in the shower has been poor from the get go.

Re: Ideas to increase water pressure for shower facet?

Ours in our Torque sucks too.. I have read different threads but haven't tried them all yet...we took out a little park looked like a flow restricter.. no change... some said possible kink somewhere in the line or from water conditioner, poor pressure from the park .. etc.. let me know if you get any results from anything.. if anything it keeps you from filling up your tanks too fast..

You may have a restrictor in the shower line that's too small or partially blocked. BUT, it's also likely that you have a problem at the pressure regulator. One way to tell is to try the shower with the pump pulling water from the fresh tank. If the water flow improves when on the pump, you likely have a problem with the pressure regulator outside. If it doesn't improve, you may have 1) a kink or some other pex restriction, 2) crud somewhere near the shower head, 3) or you may need to get a better shower head (like an Oxygenics).

In many cases, the problem is the water pressure regulator that's protecting the water system. Most inexpensive regulators keep the pressure in a safe range, but have poor water flow - only 1/2 gallon or so per minute. That's not enough to rinse the shampoo out of your hair unless you have very little hair.;)

Water Pressure and Water Flow are not the same. Here's an explanation.

I've been using 2 types that both regulate pressure while allowing good flow.
One is the Watts 263A. which allows 4-5 gal/min. High quality and pricey.
The other is used for irrigation and allows up to 7 gal/min. 40 PSI Sen Hose Reg (FHxMH) part number: PRSG40. Inexpensive but seems to work.

A friends Sundance had the same problem, took the shower head apart and got plastic shavings out of it.

We swaped out the OEM shower head for an Oxygenics. It made a world of difference.
