It happened to me

I am sure there have been failures such as Ken's on GY's that weren't operated well over 65. We have had really good luck with the G614's but for the heavy applications we use the 17.5 and 19.5 series all steel tires and have had exceptional luck. Just got off I80 today and was passed by quite a few HL products again which I know for the most part have G614's. Overall I don't think there is a high failure rate on the 614's however we are changing out the Augusta to 17.5 and the old ones are going on one of the 24 foot stock trailer's that will be loaded much heavier than the Augusta ever will be. We can stand a flat on it without tearing up the trailer if it happens.

17.5's just make sense to avoid tearing up the bottom of the trailer as they hardly ever come apart and they rarely have flats.
