How many batteries does it take?

Maybe an old cell phone charger or something similar could be used to power it.

The transmitter takes 4 AA batteries. The receiving unit takes a 9V. If you move around a lot, it might be a battery hog. Using it like I do, I just pull the batteries out when I set up on site. In actuality, the batteries were in the units for several weeks before I pulled them.

We love ours - instead of fastening to a cabinet, we just set it on the floor inside the door, level up, then pick it up and take out the batteries until next time.
