I extended the kitchen table leaf and cant put it back down....how does it work...tks

It's tricky till you get the hang of it...

1. Grab the extension on each side.

2. Pull with both hands straight toward you.

3. Once there is an approximate two inch gap between extension and table top...push down on the extension.

4. Then, push back toward table top until the extension stops...then let up pressure and it will snap back into place under the table top.

They tend to be a bit stiff, too. Make sure you maintain the pull outward as you move the extension up and down, or it may grind against the table. Not good for wood.
