Picked up new rig yesterday. Had a good PDI. Got truck hooked up to rig raised landing gears. Everything fine. Got to RV park after dark. Went to lower landing gears and only one side would come down. Could not see want problem was. Did have dealer add one more battery and a battery cut off switch. These items was added after landing gears were raised.

any help. Thanks

Hi BigJim45,

I'm assuming you have hydraulic front landing gear, not 6 point auto-leveling.

Normally the leg with least resistance comes down first until it touches the ground (creating resistance) at which time the other leg should come down. Does the hydraulic pump sound different after the first leg touches the ground? Is it lifting the front of the rig at all? Don't try lifting it very far on one leg - that will put uneven pressure on the frame.

Yep. My cousin just bought a 5th wheel and could not figure out why only one gear was coming down until told that they come down one at a time.
