Large Awning Piston

Is it normal for one of the pistons holding the awning to continually drop, as if it's weakened or something. The front Piston on my awning will not hold the awning up. Just wondering before I cotact Haeartland.

It can dip to shed rain and under the right conditions, maybe wind. But if it is calm and dry, it should hold.

I had to replace mine a couple years back, can't remember where I ordered it from, maybe PPL.
