Leaking water through out the RV .

I bought this RV in April 2024. First time I took it out the shower would not drain. Took it in to Campers World and they said Heartland never installed the vent for the shower. After 4 months got my RV back in time for a second trip post new years. When we plugged the RV in we realized the faucets were leaking and even a bigger leak under the kitchen counter. So we did not get to use the RV again it's now in for service at Great American RV Center in Decatur Al. Awaiting to see if Heartland is going to approve the damage caused by setting at Campers World waiting for the repairs to be completed. We always leave the RV plugged in even when we are not using it to ensure it doesn't get to hot or cold inside the RV. So far this Eddie Bower Edition has been a big Lemon. I am really disappointed that we have had so much trouble out of the Heartland brand. We went out of the way to take it to Great American RV Center because we refused to take it back to Campers World after such terrible service and extremely long wait. We had big plans my wife and I to enjoy this RV with our grandkids but so far it's just been a big expense.

Talk yo Heartland about taking it to their facility. Never mind 2 nd class RV dealers. They want to get rid of the unit adap and get their mone.

You are wise to avoid Camping World. The complaints about them are too numerous to count. If Great American has agreed to work with you on your warranty issues, kudos to them. Many dealers either won't touch an RV that was not purchased from them. Or, they will put you last in line for service.

That said.....I know these are warranty issues for you, but sometimes you have to weigh the the time your RV will be unavailable to you against the cost and effort of fixing it yourself. Few RVs are without issues. Hopefully most are minor.

When mine was new, even though I spent 3 hours inspecting it before purchase, there were a few things that popped up after the sale. One was major and I took it back to the dealer (over 400 mi away) but the others were relatively minor and I chose to just fix them myself. In fact, one was a water leak in the underbelly not accessible during inspection.

If you are unable, to do that, it's understandable. But if you are handy, or know someone who is, I would consider opting for fixing it and having use of the RV.

How did the damage happen at Camping World? Was it because of a freeze?

That is what the other RV place said. There was no leaks when we dropped it off to campers world. I am pretty handy country boy. I think I just have to start doing the repairs my self like was suggested above. We always leave it plugged in when we have it so it doesn't get extreme weather on the inside. Again the disappointment here is we have only been able to use it one time and have had allot of issues. Of course this is my first RV so I am learning. I do appreciate everyone's help and words.

Leaving it plugged in does not keep it from freezing. The heat requires propane, and that does not last long. A 30 pound bottle won't last 3 days when it is below freezing out side.

Plumbing leaks are a pain, but I always fix them myself. Drain leaks are fixed using plumbers putty around the top compression seal and the threads. The joint will not leak or vibrate loose while traveling down the road. A neighbor master plumber told me and he was not wrong. Faucet leaks are generally caused by over or under tightening them. If it is the faucet itself, junk it. They are cheep junk and replace with good ones from a big box or hardware store. Get Shark Bite, or as I did, PEX crimps and ratcheting tool. Half and 3/4" PEX crimps. Save the big stuff for the service center. If you want to use your rig, do the small stuff your self. When your warranty is over, when needed take it to an independent RV repair facility and not to a dealer.
