Learn how to inspect and repack your wheel bearings.
Yes, that is grease on the brake shoes.
It's not that hard to do, but everything is riding on this job (pun intended).
If you're not comfortable doing this job yourself, by all means find someone to do it for you.
I (state your name) promise to never, ever, attempt to use those stoopid "easy-lube" zerk fittings ever again. I also promise to inspect my bearings and grease seals every year. There, I feel better now.
This really must have started as some sort of practical joke gone bad.

You should be thankful that you did not have bearing failure that would lead to loosing a tire and causing an accident. The Easy Lube marketing scam is a bad joke that could cause an accident.
