Fellow HL and club member having issues with his Linc remote. All operations work as they should except the bedroom slide. We can hear the relay kick in but will not open or close with the remote, The function does work correctly when using the button in the kitchen cupboard, Any ideas,

Randy, I'm going to guess it's a wire or connection issue behind the switch panel. The relay board is back there.

Cafrefully remove your switch panel and pull it forward. Look for a wire that may have come loose from the bedroom slide switch. If you can see/reach it, look at the relay board for same.

In my KL, I cut out that entire piece of paneling the switch panel is mounted to. It gave me great access behind there for doing mods.

Thanks Jim
That was our thought also and after checking not seeing any loose or disconnected wires.

I had the same problem with the bedroom slide not working with the remote, I called Lippert and they sent me a new panel, replaced the old one and it works fine, the problem was in the control panel.

Randy,

When I cut out my panel, I used a razor knife and cut the panel out, all the way to the edges where it meets the stiles.

To re-attach the panel, I glued 1x2 wood pieces as cleats at the top center, bottom center, left and right center. Then I used screws to screw the panel to the wood cleats. I used small cove molding to trim out the cut and hide my imperfections.

In this manner, I still had quick access to the "behind the panel" area, should I ever need it and making that access didn't looks unsightly.

tboy,

My guess is that the bedroom remote relay was bad and Lippert didn't want you replacing a relay or maybe the board is a multichannel relay board and replacing it all was the only way to go.

Can you give Randy more detail on how you gained large enough access to the board and what was required of you to replace the board?

In my Key Largo the relay panel was above my holding tank gauges, there was a small access panel with 4 screws holding it on. The relay panel was not easy getting out of the small space, I made a drawing of the wires on the panel and marked all the wires with masking tape and marked them all. It is a very tight fit working in the small space, but with patients it all worked out. The relay cannot be replaced because they are molded in the relay panel.
