I think we have the same boom on our Landmark. It was my first experience, I cut my hose to fit inside the boom with the sewer conector and cap on. The first time I tried to pull the hose out it wouldm't budge. I pulled the cap off the connector and it released.

I have the system seems to work well, I found you have to take cap off before pulling out because the vacumn created when cap is on.

Try opening one of the grey water valves. That will relieve the vacuum. You only have to open it a small amount.
 
I stopped capping the drain inside and make sure i completely flush the drain. Water sloshes out down the road and then the drain gets an air dry naturally. The cap vacuum was one issue and the wet drain i didn't like either. I doesn't smell I'm going with it! It is convienent now too.
