LP Gas Detector Question

Not sure where this might belong, but if not here please let me know. I have a brand new sundance 2900MK fifth wheel. Was investigating some electrical issues with my hot water heater and flipped the main breaker off/on. Now my ll gas detector is showing a red light and despite holding the test button it will not reset to green. I'm sure there is no gas leak as it's new and it would also beep. I'm connected to shore power and my battery is fully charged, so that is not an issues. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check all of your circuit breakers. Flip them off and on. Sometimes it's not easy to tell if they're tripped.

Also check the voltage at the battery. When plugged into shore power, you should have around 13.5V. If it's below 12V, your power converter may have been knocked out and the battery is not getting recharged - which has been reported to cause this type of problem.

I'm having the same sort of problem. One of my interior coach light wasn't working so I went to change the bulb and then the lp detector is red and won't reset as well as the alarm sounding.I had a blown fuse and another blew as soon as I tried to replace it.I also have a red fault light on the fuse panel. I was curious if your ever got your problem fixed. I have a 2009 Big Country BTW.

Check the battery in the detector. They have a back up battery like your smoke detectors. They need to be changed every time change, like your smoke detector.

The only battery supplying the LP Gas Detector is the 12V coach battery and is hardwired to it.. They do not have a replaceable 9V or AA batteries, like smoke and CO detectors. The detectors do have a lifespan of 5 - 7 years, just like the other two. But that does not guarantee they'll always last that long.
