Main Television failure

The power supply on our 32 inch Samsung failed and had to be repaired.When viewing we are now extending our TV out from the cabinet
at least 5 inches to allow better cooling.The fireplace is located directly below the television that probably adds to even more heat.
Just some information I wanted to pass on and not sure if the failure was even caused from poor ventilation but its something to consider.

Our Samsung had a similar experience. The power light was on, but unit would not power up. I removed the TV, removed the back, and reseated every wire socket I saw on the electronic boards. Replaced the back, it's worked fine since!

The TV repair guy in town replaced the power supply for $197

The Samsung TV in our Bighorn went out while in warranty but was replaced by Heartland.

Here is a link to a site that has repair parts for many tv's for those willing to try fixing one on their own.
A good place to start is in the "tech support" section at the bottom of the list , it has trouble shooting guides and stuff there to get an idea as to issues.
