Gang:
I am watching the cooking show "Man Fire Food" on the Cooking Network, and was surprised to see an RV park featured. It seems that the Searsport RV Resort in Searsport, Maine features a locally procured and cooked on-site lobster bake every Saturday. Preparing this meal is an all-day procedure. The weblink here has pictures: http://www.campocean.com/Beach_Lobster_Bake.html

I don't know the name of the park, but a few years ago some friends work camped at a park in Maine & one of his duties was to cook lobsters every Sat. night.

Maine was our home for 30+ years and it is now uncommon for rv parks and motels do do some type of lobster bake/boil once a month or so.

Am currently in Deadwood , SD

We were in Deadwood last July (the Tuesday before the Sturgis rally).

We didn't stop, but drove through town on our way to Devil's Tower, then again later in the day on our way back to Custer, where we had our camper parked.

We hope to go back up there again in a couple of years.

The closest I've ever been to Maine would be airport layovers in Boston or at LaGuardia!

When we retire (if that day ever comes the way this world is go'in) we plan on trailering our way up there!

Did you really mean to say "uncommon"? The tone of your post seems like you meant to say "common".

You are correct --it was common for rv/motels to have some type of lobster bake/boil once/month or so
Thanks for the catch.
