Maxbrake controller calibration issue.ghh

We just acquired a 1997 Volvo WIA 64 tractor. It came with a maxbrake controller wired through a jackalope. I have been trying to calibrate this thing to my 4100 king and for some reason I cant get the screen to show the T number and when I hit the brakes...I get no bar strength on the controller yet when I use the emergency slide...I get braking on my coach. Anybody out there in the HDT community have any ideas as to what might be going on, I would really appreciate some advice.
