Molding coming loose

It's always something - thank goodness for the Heartland Member's Forum

In the past few months I have noticed some of my trim mold is working loose near the front under the curve up to the hitch. Has anyone seen this? I certainly can't be the only one.

What is the easy fix?

Just pull it off and replace it. That stuff is cheap. Be sure to measure the width as it comes in two sizes.

I just removed the lower screw and raised up the molding and replaced the screw about an inch higher

It looks funny when you see it, but during the install you'll fold it over, making a "U" shape, that you're familiar with.

The link posted is for a one inch strip which is normally used in the area of your concern. If the opening of the channel as you see it is 5/8" then one inch is your size. If it is 1/2" you will need the 3/4 strip.
I'm pretty sure you are one inch but be sure to measure.
Don't stretch it when you put it on or you will wind up with the same problem.

Ours was painted. Obviously, it shouldn’t be painted. After our trip to Alaska last year a lot of the paint had chipped off so I just replaced with black. One of the easiest repairs you’ll ever do.
