Hi everyone,
Well, I thought I had enough tools/wrenches to build an airplane, However I have run into a problem. We have a BH 3670. I need to replace the hinges on the cargo door near the propane tanks. The bolts that connect the hinge to the Rv are no problem (typical size) , but the screws that connect the hinge to the door is a different issue. I do not have anything that will fit the head of the screw. I have tried torx sizes, phillips, etc and nothing will fit it secure enough to turn them out. Looking for some help and what type I need and where to get it?
thanks

It's probably one that could not make up it's mind what it wanted to be...phillips or square drive... :)

On the Philips/robertson screws on our units its a chalenge using the Philips screw driver. Better use the square/robertson for better grip.

Mine are definitely #2 Square Head. Most hardware stores sell square head sets and most xx-piece tool kits have them in them also.

Thanks for the reply, I tried a square head and it will not get a good grip. These screws need a bit with 8 points---torx has 6 and square has 4??? I also checked the other doors and they all have the same screws on the door side of the hinge??
thanks

One thing you might try that I used to do with buggered up phillips screws on airplanes is pack the head with some scouring powder like Bon Ami. It helps the screwdriver get a better grip.
