Morro Bay to Bakersfield

Anyone towed the 58 or would the 46 be a better choice? Feedback appreciated.

I was told by a coworker that both hwy 46 and 58 can be sketchy, but of the two to take 46.

Take 46 to Bakersfield not the 58. 58 east of Bakersfield is great though. Just watch out for crazy drivers, especially around the Cholame Y.

I usually go down I-5 to the speedway and take Panama to the 99. North just a short way to 58 east. Seems to be less traffic and fewer traffic lights that way.
