MorRyde/Kodiac Disk Brakes System

Gang:
I just got my disk brake system install completed this morning at MorRyde. The mechanic handed me a manual on the hydraulic brake actuator that showed a manufacturer, and 3 year warranty, from "Cargo Towing Solutions". There was some doubt if my truck's existing brake controller was compatible with that hydraulic actuator, and the manual referred me to "CargoTowingSolutions.com" for a compatibility list. Well, when I brought up that website, it was for a shipping and transport company, and not a brake parts manufacturer. A little more online sleuthing finally came up with the information that the Hydrastar is now produced and warranted by Carlisle Industrial Brake & Friction. A new manual with the new manufacturers name and contacts is at: http://www.carlislebrake.com/pdfs/HydraStar_SM.pdf and can be printed for your records. There is also a notation on the main page of Carlisle's website that says to call Barry Hausel at 800-933-1001 about Hydrastar problems.
I will start driving West tomorrow, and will be better able to evaluate the disk brakes system.

Bill, did you know the power cams back on shortly after you picked up your SAT dish?

You will be pleased with the DB installation.

Yeah, I checked in the next morning AFTER I had paid for another day at Elkhart Campground. Besides, I didn't want to mess with teardown and setup again too soon.

AFTER I got the disk brake installation installed, and test drove it, I found that my Tekonisha IQ controller in my truck was not on the actuator's acceptable controller list, so I had to make a dash to one of the local transport truck accessories place and spend another $200 on a different model Tekonisha.

Getting ready to roll West into the sunset (and heat) this morning.
