Ford had bad performance on the exhaust brake with the twin turbo. They changed to a much bigger single turbo to fix the problem.

I have the 6.7 and have no complaints with braking or anything else for that matter. We live in the Rockies and can't hardly get out of here without going over a pass.

Ok, rumors. Most people don't know how to use it. Improved braking doesn't mean the original was bad, just the new is better.

Exactly right. I made that very comment to my wife about people complaining about the braking system as we went down an 11% grade into Sheridan WY never getting above 30 MPH.

Mine pulled like a champ (2012), plenty of power, plenty of pull, just put it in Tow/Haul, no rush and enjoy the ride.
