mounting stuff to outside walls...

I'm wanting to hang some stuff in the garage on the outside facing walls. Is there any tricks or tips or any reason not to? I'd like to put up some clips and such to hold and hang stuff.

Find the Aluminum studs and treat it like a normal metal stud, but watch the depth.

I use the 2" suction cups with hooks found in the bath section of Home Depot.
These are the white cups with a center "set" button. The button has a red ring that is visible as the grip decreases.

I use several of them and the toothbrush version has been hanging in the bath since August.

I use one on the outside by the door to hold a broom.
