Mustang IS Sightings

While driving along Hwy 361 on Mustang Island, we saw Gulf Waters RV Resort Community and noticed a Landmark and a Big Country. No one around but we left a card.

We are staying at Colonial del Rey RV Park in Corpus Christi. Of course, we have a hurricane watch going on but none of the locals seem to be concerned. Hope they are right about this one!!! DH thinks he can pack up and be ready to scat in 10 min. Should I time him on a practice run? We keep getting other people pulling in for the night so prayerfully, we only get wind and rain (and nothing too outrageous in either category).

CJ what site are you in? Lin & I spend the winter at Colonia Del Rey. Say HI to Laurie in the office. Last winter we were on the circle on site 19-16. Next Winter we hope to get 19-4. Are there many people there this time of year? Must be a bit warm eh? Go see the Lex if you have time. Good place for lunch or supper is Snoopys. On the right hand side of the bridge on the way out to Padre Island. Good pizza at Padre Pizzeria. Also on the Island. Have fun with the storm tonight. Stay safe.

Hi Ray

We are currently in site 21 for a week. We are surprised at how many people are in this park and so many of them look to be long-term. Not many spots left, mostly daily ones only. We will say hello to Laurie for you. We have started looking around at other parks but so far we like this one and plan to talk to the office about a winter site. Hope we are not too late. Site 23 is a monthly site we may ask for. It will be great to be here and have someone from our extended family here also. If it works out we plan to arrive here right after the October Rayford Crossing Rally and stay until the Spring R.C. Rally.

It was a bit warm today but not as bad as what we endured in AR and LA for the past three weeks. Trust me, we are keeping an eye to the sky and an ear on the Weather Channel! The office is great about posting updates also.

That would be great to have another HL in the park. We've been there 2 years now and are reserved for another one. It sounds like we'll see you at Rayford this fall too. Great!. There are many things we like about CDR. All the shopping one could ask for is within 10 miles. The beach as you know is 5 minutes. The people in the park are great and lots of activities. In the fall, there's an open house in Rockport at a dealer that just took on Heartland. They are carrying Bighorn and Big Country. We went last year and won a $25 Outback Card. All in all a great area.
