Natchez trace

Has anyone done the Natchez Trace? We are thinking about heading back to Michigan via Galveston, then new orleans then up to the Nashville via the Natchez trace, then off to Michigan. Thanks

It's a scenic ride. Beware, the only gas station on the trace has low overhead clearance.

Hi Rick and Debbie, We went home on the Trace (from Tucson) 2 yrs. ago. We picked it up down by Baton Rouge. IT was awesome. We had a couple of small detours because of bridge construction. We actually enjoyed the detours. Free camping at the campgrounds on the Trace. It is a national park with no stop signs for 440 miles. You will love it.

We did the trace 5 years ago and enjoyed the ride.
I totally agree with the previous threads.

You can get off and on the Trace at most towns so, fuel and stuff isn't a real problem.

Just watch the bridges. Getting off in some areas like Hohewald, TN you will find a low bridge or two.
