The wife and I picked up our 2008 Bighorn 3370 on the 10th of April. On the 11th of April, I was starting to scout out the basement storage to see what kind of hangars I was going to need to install. A guest of wind caught the basement door on the driver’s side, and put a minor dent in the door. This was caused by the Propane door finger latch, and no stops. So I started doing a walk around on the bighorn, and noticed two different style hinges. The wider older style hinges which are located on the vertical doors, and the piano hinges, (without a chain, or stops) on the horizontal doors.
The wife added this problem to our list of items that needed warranty work, along with several pictures, and sent them off to our RV dealer. The response we got back from the service manager was. Heartland has changed over to piano hinges, and is no longer using the old style hinge, and that no modification has been suggested yet. Stay Tuned for more updates.
