NEW to this whole toilet / dumping station thing!!!

So my girlfriend and I just bought a 2013 Prowler 29prks. We traded in our 21 Ft. Sea Ray Sun Deck to be Glampers. HOWEVER, this last weekend was the first time that we used it and we have so many questions.

So when we went to dump it. We emptied the black water first. Then the gray. Then we attempted to use the BLK water flush but the hose that was provided didn't fit into the nozzle so she held it up there and it seemed that it was getting water through it. Then we eptied the kitchens water.

We did NOT put any deodorizer in it this time. IS that something that you do every time. And then how much water do you add??

I seen some posts about people using Calgon. Like the womans soap????

Unless you have something different, a standard male hose fitting should fit the black tank flush inlet. If you were trying to connect to a white plastic fitting on a short white hose, that's an inlet line to the water pump, normally used to introduce antifreeze into the system during winterization.

The Calgon we use is the laundry water softener, not bath soap or the "Rain Drop" liquid. Powder or liquid will work. Or you can use the common RV chemicals, if that's all you can find. Sometimes the Calgon, particularly the powder, is hard to find.

There are two schools of thought on septic tanks (both grey and black). One is to use the commercial deodorizers to reduce odors. The other is called the GEO method. The GEO method requires slightly more understanding of your septic system, but can be beneficial. I suggest you read more about it here https://sites.google.com/site/cbruni/
