Black tank overflow

We were looking at a small leak in the pipe that drains the tanks outside, so we drained the black tank. While we were refilling the black tank from the fresh water line (not the first time we have done this), someone distracted us & the toilet overflowed onto the bathroom floor. There was water draining off the outside of the kitchen slide out (maybe from having run under the shower?) too. UGH!!!

We dried everything and cleaned the floor and left the hold open the rest of the day. It’s been 3 days and now when you walk in the rig, it smells like poop- mostly by the door that is right by the 3 steps up to the bathroom. The bathroom abuts the kitchen so I worry that the overflow ran down the interior wall…🤷🏽‍♀️

Is there a way to figure out:
1- where the odor is emanating from and
2- how to fix it?
Any guidance would be MOST welcome and appreciated.

Lots of bleach water and fans. It most likely has gotten soaked into the wood on the floor and walls. Best of luck on that. Might consider calling in one of those after disaster clean up places for an estimate.

Call your insurance company. Septic waste is considered a bio hazard. They may write if off because of the overflow especially if it’s into the walls and maybe even ran under the linoleum and cupboards.
