If anything, the undercoating keeps the salt off of the metal so it at least is a barrier to slow down the start of the rusting process.

Too bad that we can't have Rhino Liner put on the bottoms of our new vehicles.

Then we would never have to worry about salt.

Believe it or not you can! There are 'do it yourself' spray in bed liners that are on the market. Go to Harbor Freight and get a cheap spray gun, lots of masking tape, and there you have it. An acquaintance of mine sprayed under the bed of his P/U and in both wheel wells. Aside from the single "oops" over-spray incident, it came out pretty good.
