Does the north trail 24BHS have a power converter or inverter I need to be switching when going from battery power to shore power?

Short answer, no.
All 12 volt DC items always get power through the battery. Your converter keeps the battery charged when plugged in to shore power.
Or in absence of a battery your converter will supply the needed 12 VDC when plugged in to shore power.
