NT 28BRS Questions

I took a good look at the 28BRS and the layout and price point are growing on me, but the ride height concerns me. Is doing an axle flip on these pretty much mandatory to avoid damaging the undercarriage? I would rather not flip the axles but if I could raise it a couple if inches I would feel better about buying it. I was also thinking of maybe swapping the tires for high profile ones (from 205/75 to 205/80) if it doesn't cause clearance problems.

I would need to do the axle flip prior to the dealer installing the WD hitch so it's all adjusted to the new height. Are there folks out there that are happy with the standard height? I don't have a steep driveway but I'm more concerned about your typical gas station entry/exit and the occasional deep on a paved road.

Also is the single 15k BTU AC enough to keep it cool on those Texas 100 degree days?

I had the same concerns on ride height with mine, after purchase of course. It hasn't been an issue so far but in the back of my mind after reading posts about rear power stab jacks being ripped off. I even started a post about this and the best suggestion was to install Correct Track II system and gain 2". It's a minimal cost as well.

As for the AC. It is a ducted system and I've been ok in 100 degree temps. It may run a lot but you'll be cool.

My concerns have been addressed because I've been told that the 2015 28BRS now sits on a higher "3 step" chassis. I went ahead and placed an order. Time to start looking for that first camping spot!
