I took a good look at the 28BRS and the layout and price point are growing on me, but the ride height concerns me. Is doing an axle flip on these pretty much mandatory to avoid damaging the undercarriage? I would rather not flip the axles but if I could raise it a couple if inches I would feel better about buying it. I was also thinking of maybe swapping the tires for high profile ones (from 205/75 to 205/80) if it doesn't cause clearance problems.
I would need to do the axle flip prior to the dealer installing the WD hitch so it's all adjusted to the new height. Are there folks out there that are happy with the standard height? I don't have a steep driveway but I'm more concerned about your typical gas station entry/exit and the occasional deep on a paved road.
Also is the single 15k BTU AC enough to keep it cool on those Texas 100 degree days?
