Our new Airman - thanks for the encouragement and advice

Many of you that attended the national rally last summer might remember our son, David, was debating joining the Air Force and making it his career. Several of our vets discussed this with him at the rally and overall were highly encouraging to him. A few weeks after the rally, after traveling with us out west, he flew home and signed up with the Air Force.

David left for basic training mid-February and today we are proud to announce he is one of our country's newest airmen. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and words of wisdom as he has gone down this path. We, of course, are beaming and proud.

He ships out Monday evening for Keesler AFB in Biloxi to begin his tech schooling.

What technical specialty did he choose to study? Also, if he is still there in Nov-Feb, and you guys decide to visit, give us a call, that's where we winter

David will be working with electronics on F-22 fighters. Not sure how long he will be at Keesler.

Our son has been at Kessler for about 7 months for his tech training. He will be leaving there at the end of this month and headed to Camp Blanding which is south of Jacksonville until late November to complete his required tech school. His M.O.S. has the longest training of all Air Force assignments.

We are so proud of our Airman and you should be proud of yours as well. Congrats
