The outside light on our unit is mounted all the way forward of the unit, so seeing the keyhole at night is difficult. A light above the door would be helpful.

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.
Hopefully some of our other members will jump in about what they have done to help with seeing the lock at night. I take it you don't have a "porch light" directly above the door.
